The terms of every divorce are different, but even when a divorce is civil it has a large effect on children. They are forced to live in between two houses. When it is not civil, the effect is even worse. The child is caught choosing sides and being fought over. They see a different side of both their parents they never knew. Sometimes there are custody cases and they barely get to see one of their parents.

In my photo I am showing the struggle of a child caught in a divorce. The child is literally caught in between the fighting parents. The conflict between the parents is shown in both the color of their shirts and the hue of their side of the photo, which are complementary colors blue and orange. Additionally there is blood dripping from the grip of each parents hand on the child's arm to exaggerate the damage done by the fighting.
